The Vision
For the Dove "Let Your Body Body" campaign at Toronto’s The Well, the brand needed a bulletproof way to capture, process, and deliver high-quality video content to participants in near real-time.
Technical Highlights
1. The "Box" Architecture
I designed a portable, high-performance NUC-based server that functioned entirely within a secured local network. By using OBS and a custom RTMP server, the system handled video recording and monitoring without requiring external internet. This was critical for maintaining stability in crowded event spaces.
2. Secure Data Handling
Participant data privacy was paramount. I implemented a local-first storage solution using industry-standard encryption for dancer information. All personally identifiable information was handled within the encrypted local environment before being securely synchronized for email delivery.
3. Automated Delivery Pipeline
The software bridged the gap between production and delivery. Editors could finalize videos on-site, and my custom email delivery server would automatically match them to participant records and dispatch branded emails without manual data entry, ensuring a seamless user experience from dance to inbox.
Operational Excellence
Beyond the code, I provided on-site technical direction throughout the activation, ensuring that the software, hardware, and network handled the continuous load of hundreds of participants per day.
